Non-intuitive technology
Do you ever struggle to operate technology? Have you ever felt like the technology has overmastered you? I normally power on like a madman possessed until I conquer the technology, but recently I almost gave up.
Take a look at this simple piece of tech. It's a tap.
I've struggled with electronics, apps, and child proof locks before, but never have I been so bamboozled by something as simple as a tap. I tried everything but I couldn't get it to work. I even tried clapping.
I just stood there thinking "No way! I'm not being defeated by a tap. How is this possible?"
If I was wearing a scouter I would have crushed it as I exclaim "IT'S OVER 9000!"
I began to panic as I searched around for a button or lever nearby which might have activated the tap from a distance. I was about to give up as I searched around but then I finally discovered the sensor that activates the tap. It was behind the tap and out of view.
It was a close call, but I made it this time. Next time I might not be so lucky.
Intuitive technology is the difference between whether you get to wash your hands or not.

I hate taps with sensors.
I like technology
I often experience that with taps,.. you enter a public bathroom in a restaurant or bar you don't usually frequent, and if it's not a classic mechanical tap, I often have to find out how the thing works.
Same goes for temperature control in showers in hotels/hostels
It was behind the tap?? Who even does that??
Most of the automated ones I've seen have them under the faucet. Makes sense, cuz you just put your hands under like you usually would, but it's kind of hard to activate them sometimes. The sensor is out of view, so I usually have to move my hands around a bit before I can find it.
= ~ = )
I made many attempts of waving my hands underneath, and to the side, and all over. I felt like such a fool.
Well, I have learned today that I am not the only one that noticed.
That's probably installed wrong or something, what could be the use for that, hilarious post though!
