Fractal Design Define R5 Gaming Case

I've been building PC's my entire life. A good case is typically overlooked when building a PC.

A good case makes the build and future upgrades a lot easier. Also you can find cases with really good sound dampening to reduce the noise generated by your CPU and GPU fans.

The R5 is just that, a great case with fantastic noise reduction.

The R5 is lined with noise reduction material alone the sides of the case. You can see the material in the back in the following picture.

With 8 drive bays, this case can handle as much storage as you want to throw at it, it also makes a great case for a NAS although you won't have hot swap ability. There are also two SSD mounting brackets on the back of the case under the motherboard.

The case comes in two versions, one with a small window and one without. Fractal Design has upgraded this model to the R6 which is slightly bigger, but offers no other real advantage unless you need E-ATX. I would recommend sticking with the R5 otherwise.
