Smartphone case acts like an Airbag

There are plenty of case option to effectively protect mobile phones from damage. But this case act like an airbag which protect your phone from 360 degree angle that means your phone is completely free from damage.

A German student name Philip Frenzel patented a potential solution for this problem. The case comes with sensor that can detect when the phone is in free fall which prompts the release of four springs that cause the phone to bounce when it hits the ground.

While the case seems like a good solution for drops on flat surface, but it does not look like it would prevent scratches or cracks if the phone fell onto a jagged edge or anything that is uneven.

Yet it has not come to the market for sale but the creator of this case has received an award from the German Society of Mechatronics for his creation.
