Researchers Develop WiFi Technology 300 Times Faster

The presence of WiFi facility now allows us to access the internet anywhere and anytime. Especially in public places, such as malls and restaurants, we can access the free WiFi.

Unfortunately, there are times when WiFi signal is not very good and the speed is also not high because many people are using.

The situation above finally inspired researchers in the Netherlands to develop alternative technology WiFi, namely using individual light rays. This beam becomes an information delivery channel with a very high speed.

After conducting a number of tests, researchers found that the speed of WiFi by using individual light rays is even faster 300 times higher than WiFi in general, reaching 112 Gigabit.

To be clear, the comparison is like this, if we have 5GB of data or about 40Gigabit on DVD, we can transfer data from three DVDs in one second.
Another advantage is that this technology is cheaper and safer. Because the light rays focus on one person, the gap to hack internet networks is very small.

However, this technology is not perfect. Because when you want to move the device, we need to send another wave to reach the device. Researchers are targeting this technology to grow more broadly within the next five years.
