What do voice assistants do now?

Now Siri, Google Assistant, Microsoft Cortana and Amazon Alexa can find the right information on the network, recall important events, call or send a message, launch the application, turn on music and make publications in social networks. All voice assistants are activated by special phrases ("Okay, Google", "Hello, Siri", "Alexa", "Hello, Сortana").

Technology Alexa from Amazon has become popular thanks to the "smart" column Echo. The voice assistant can answer simple questions, set a timer and an alarm clock, play music from different services (Amazon Music, Spotify and Pandora).

Alexa can tell you the latest news, tell you about the weather, the situation on the roads, remind about planned events, order a taxi or any goods in Amazon, play video on Amazon Video or YouTube, call Echo owners or phones with voice assistant installed. It also interacts with smart home systems.

Analog Amazon Echo from Google is called Google Home. The column differs from Amazon Echo in that it knows how to recognize people by voice, and also can combine speakers over wireless communication and play one song in several rooms using the ChromeCast application.

Wired portal reviewers checked how well Google Assistant, Alexa and Siri understand people with different accents - American, British, Scottish, Irish, Australian, German, Italian and Chinese. Integration of voice assistants into all kinds of devices in the future will lead to the need for marketers to change the approach to communicating with users, to make it more personal, but this task will be possible only if companies find a way to protect voice assistants from fraud.
