We would normally not ever see dinosaurs in jurassic park, travel to another planet or be in a zombie infected country. But with the help of virtual reality, this could all be achieved.

In the medical field Vr is applicable in medical training. As an anatomist I know how hard training can be, with the involvement of cadavers,continuous inhalation of formalin or even when working with a living patient and you tend to make a mistake. Now with the help of vr, training can be carried out in a safe environment, and without any risk to a patient. Students could interact with a virtual patient learning stuffs they can apply to our world or even dive into a world where a surgical operation is taking place. In the situation of overcoming certain phobias, VR is also helpful through exposure therapy.

IN GAMES AND ENTERTAINMENT

Ever played call of duty and wanted to experience the feel?? With virtual reality this is absolutely possible. The sensation of gaming has been taken to another level with vr. We see big companies like ps4 and oculus making lots of profit from this technology. Now even on your Android device, all you need do is download a Vr game and buy your Google cadboard. Gaming is now as realistic as ever.
If you go to cinema's now, you are sure to see a room or a vehicle enhanced with this technology. The feeling is so real that you keep coming for another experience.

IN SCHOOLING AND EDUCATION

Though not much schools have picked intrest in vr, but some have done. Most especially the 1st world countries. Let's say my school wants to go on a field trip to Mt. Everest or a top notch museum. We could go there cheaper and faster with the aid of vr. How about in teaching about or solar system, we could go on a tour. It is known that the brain stores more of what is seen than what is read.
