Man, you're amazing! I loved this post!
My very first real job in life was a Computer Science school teacher. And today I'm teaching basic computer literacy skills to immigrants in Sweden. I'm so with you when it comes to erasing MS Explorer, installing Firefox and other measures that you listed in your post – I have exact same philosophy. I hope that some of it will stick with my students and will help them deal with computers further on in their lives.
Thank you for this post, it cheered me up! :)

Thank you, I appreciate your appreciation for my writing ^_^
Oh wow, that's awesome! You have quite the history of helping others learn about computers. Yeah, Erase the default IE and never go back. Google Chrome or Firefox are both good options. I prefer firefox because of the fact that the don't record every single aspect of what you do. If a person is fine with that though then google chrome is a very strong and secure option; With many great customizable plugins in there store.

I know it will stick, students absorb a lot more than it may seem. Also since it seems like you have very positive and enthusiastic energy, they will remember that the most. So they will absorb better because of that energy you hold.

Your welcome, thanks for your comment and enjoying it. These types of post I write for people like you and the others who comment. It is too long for everyone else so I don't expect big monetary rewards. My reward is the comment and readers who enjoy ^_^
