Deployment is the process of getting a software or hardware running in an environment.This process includes installationn, configuration, testing and all necessary things to run in an environment.

Deployment is done using various tools that are available. For example, if you are setting up a brand new server you will install an Operating System(OS) first then you will run wizards and tools provided by the OS or those which are available like scripting tools (like bash or powershell) to automate things, package manager to install frameworks and runtime.

If you are deploying a web application to a web server then you can use File Transfer Protocol(FTP) client like filezilla to deploy it or Web Deploy provided by Microsoft for windows-based servers. There are different ways of doing it and different tools that are available for deployment so we can prefer any of them as per our requirements.
