Amazing Communications
As history progressed and technology continued to evolve, life began to be filled with more and more good things. Without a doubt, one of the best things that our society has won from the development of technology is communication.
Think for a few moments all the amazing forms of communication that have made your life easier and fuller. First of all, in many minds of people there is a telephone. Even if you want to write letters from time to time, can you honestly imagine whether letters and telegrams were the only way to communicate with people? Think of countless ways to improve phones around the world. My phone allows me not only to call my neighbor next door, but phone calls allow me to call a friend who moved to Africa in just a few minutes.
If the phone does not impress you enough, think about how the Internet has improved communications and many other aspects of your life. The Internet literally connects people from all over the world with one simple click of a button or two. Our connections with people have become simpler, more frequent and faster. You can send a message to a business partner in Tokyo and receive a response within a few seconds. It's amazing.
Improvements in communication have opened up a world of opportunities for people in the field of travel. Places that were once unavailable, are now not only available, but also convenient and fast. Every time I sit at the airport, I find myself terrific thanks to an incredible communication system that controls air traffic around the world. I can definitely see how the air traffic controller is the most intense work in the world, but there is no way that work is possible even without the complex communication system that we need to use.
With a less developed system of communication, life will be different for people around the world, but life will also differ for countries and international relations. Imagine that you are trying to save the world abroad by exchanging letters? Decades will pass before there is any significant communication. The chances are high that we would get far fewer privileges to visit or move to other countries without an excellent communication system, like what our world has.
Before you take a phone or sit down to check your e-mail, take a moment to be grateful for the perfect communications in your world and in your life.
