RE: Let’s talk about China, its Social Credit System + more

in #technology6 years ago

I guess the biggest flaw in this system is that it amplifies current behaviour.
(as in amplify one's mistakes or actions considered perfect behaviour)
The misconception of utopia, a static fully planned economy.
Keep in mind that China had its one child policy a little while ago.
The side FX are not that pretty in this regard.

Not that this social point system is a big diversion from Taylorism.
This is just a continuation of the points system started with
the introduction of the Prussian Class/ Education system.

Once a disaster like the Loyds TSB IT scandal
starts effecting the scores of millions of subjects aka people,
it might backfire.

The biggest risk in my opinion is that people could start to get use to a life in which the government can see pretty much whatever you do, and punish you even if you don't commit any crime.

Yes, although this one is much more hardcore.

Hardcore?
Make that an ultra hard core.
Now extrapolate this with body implants & it get downright creepy.
Not a nice issue to discuss,
thanks for bringing this into the spotlight.
