5G makes the whole world wireless
In 2020, researchers will be ready for next generation mobile networks: 5G. It gets much faster and opens the doors for everything from hologram to remote touch.
Right now, our mobile phones surf the fourth generation mobile network, but 2020 is expected to launch 5G.
The biggest breakthrough for the 5G is the use of augmented reality where graphic elements are projected into the user's field of vision using a pair of glasses so that they appear to be part of the physical environment.
5G will be more than 30 times faster than 4G with an average speed of ten gigabit per second.
This makes heavy graphics such as a hologram without problems flowable to the glasses while the user is on the move.
5G will cut the cable to the TV
With 5G's high speed, all TV content will be delivered wirelessly over the net - without the flaws you've used to today.
This makes it possible for someone who, for example, watching a football match to choose a camera angle at home in the living room in real time or perhaps take a closer look at the actual arena via the mobile phone.
Internet will be flawlessly
The delay on the 5G network literally speaks of becoming imperceptible. Response time moves as no more than one millisecond.
It's about the same time it takes for the nerve signals to get from the finger to the brain, thus creating the feeling that you can touch things over the net.
It opens up for many possibilities, such as remote surgery where the surgeon can perform precise intervention on a patient lying on the operating table several kilometers away.
The haptic feedback technology, which makes it possible to receive emotional impressions in return, will also be much more useful with the fast-paced network.

5G will be nice for sure, but the problem with AR is that (at least in our current situation) the batteries aren't good enough.
Like if the glasses only work for 3 - 4 hours a day without being bulky or needing a separate battery, that's just not enough.
Yeah, I know hopefully they will come with a solution for that!
I doubt something really revolutionary will come soon :/
