The “prancing horse” party

in #technology6 years ago (edited)

This past Saturday, I attended a special party - a party with Ferrari owners.
These were not “when Lambo hopefuls” of this crypto era – but bona fide Ferrari owners and lovers. 😀
Some invitees arrived in red, some in yellow or whatever they thought was characteristic of themselves as Ferrari owners. The party was held at the Forza Service (Forza) in the little known town of Oss in North Brabant. Ferrari lovers are now referring to the town as the Dutch Maranello – quite a complement.

The party was a celebration of 25 years of existence of Forza and it was a fitting event. The thing that stood out the most in the midst of the opulence and the beautiful cars – was a sense of achievement. The owner, Alex, epitomizes what a dream, hard work and passion can achieve - SUCCESS. From humble beginnings with a focus on how he visualized technical and customer care - the high standard attained by Forza has created a name for itself. The name Forza is now synonymous with quality, service, passion and craftsmanship. It was evident from the number of people in attendance, that it was more than just a car maintenance and repair shop – there was also a sense of kinship.

The party was fantastic – the floating supper dishes, music, cocktail bar, barista, the caricaturist - all added to the ambience of the evening. However, the highlight of the evening was of course the cars – the Ferraris.
A lot can be said about a business, when super performance car owners from all over, allow their cars to be transported back to Oss just to be showcased “at a party”.
It was also impressive to see some cars promenading as they approached the venue.

All the cars were amazing but the Formule One cars stole the show.

This car was driven by Michael Schumacher in 1997

and this car by Gilles Villeneuve.

The yellow car is a Le Mans race car.

We could also enjoy the cars lined-up in the showroom.

However there is no party without the guests. Here we are listening to a speech from the owner.

The scene was set upstairs, Ferraris waiting to be gazed at and empty chairs waiting to be filled with cocktail-bearing guests.

Indeed the Ferraris are lovely to look at but is there anything else that is special about them? I hear a resounding YES coming from you the reader.

Have you ever heard the sound of the Ferrari’s engine?

Thieir sound and performance could be what makes them so special. I think one has to drive a Ferrari to experience the special allure. I have not driven one as yet. Sitting in the passenger seat my body was dragged through time and space - WHOOOAH. The look on the driver's face made it clear that the experience was by far more exhilarating than I could imagine. The animalistic roar of the Ferrari engine was overwhelming and it sounds like it culminated into a loud scream. What a ride!!!! What a car!!!

This is what creates all that noise - the Ferrari engine.

These cars certainly have a lot of horsepower; but that is not the reason for the symbolic black prancing horse on the yellow background of their logo.
This video tells the story of Enzo Ferrari and the origin of the logo.

This was a special occasion and an awesome celebration – all in all - a success story!

Beautiful cars all over, I am driven with passion to own one too someday

@burlarj Wow - quite a goal. To be honest I found the vintage cars more appealing than the modern car.

After watching your post, the only thing that that came to my mind is "Now i can die peacefully."!!

Lol - I am happy that via my post one can live vicariously. There is a lot happening in this post though.

Yes.. Like that engine...allow me and I can make a rocket out of it!

Lol - that is great.

Die peacefully only after you've driven yours to your satisfaction...

Thanks @MoMoGrOw, you just rekindled my love for cars, that was slowly been replaced by jets...

😎😎ha ha ha

@winarobert Just love them both - performance cars and jets - why not?

Those are some awesome cars!

@amberyooper Yes they are - to look at and to drive in.

feel like i died and went to ferrari heaven, this is my dream my whole life and i was close to buying one last year and decided to invest elsewhere....but it will happen. Thanks for keeping the dream alive

@vladivostok happy that I can help you to visualize the dream!! It was a fun event and pretty down to earth despite the cars.

Those cars are truly beautiful. But do they drive some of those racig cars on a normal day? I thought that they're only used for racing

@resuscitate Most Ferraris being made are for normal use. Typically owners do not drive the car much because it is also seen as an investment.
The race cars are quite different from the other high performance cars for regular road use. For instance above - the cars driven by Michael Schumacher and Gilles Villeneuve versus the other cars.

The cool event @momogrow do you enjoyed?

@anggreklestari The event was very great - as I mentioned there was a sense of kinship. It was a nice experience.

Looks like you have made a valuable memory! I must admit i'm a bit jealous, but i know i'm not the only one ;) glad you enjoyed it.

@@@the-one-true-dan I had an amazing time - the audience were very relaxed - which was nice to see. Not pretentious at all. As a result - everyone could enjoy.
