Do you have LCD projector?

Projectors contain three liquid crystal panels. These are a lamp, a prism and filters that help create image on the screen. The lamp produces white light which passes through a polarizing mirror. Polarizing allows the light which travels on the same plane and all other light are stopped.

After the polarizing filters, there are a series of dichroic mirrors that bounce back certain colors found in  the light spectrum, while other light are allowed to go through. The dichroic mirrors divide the light into three different colors that are green, red, and blue.

These three colors then travel to a separate LCD panel. From where they are sent to dichroic prism which recombines the three colors to form a single image composed of millions of colors, and then it is sent to the projector lens to project the image onto the screen. Each LCD provides only one color. So, if you want to see an image of a red plane against a blue sky, the light from green LCD would be stopped reaching the dichroic prism.

LCD panels in LCD projectors accept the polarized light to move through a pane of glass and then entered into the liquid crystal inside the display which bends the light that starts traveling on a different level when it passes through the polarizing filter. When an electrical current is applied to the liquid crystal it puts the light on a straight line. If a second polarizing filter is kept at the other end of the liquid crystal, it will block all light from moving through. Electrical current is controlled separately when it passes through the liquid crystal of LCD panel.

The resolution of the image is determined by the number of cells or pixels of each LCD. The more the number of pixels will be, the more the clarity to the image will be seen. Each LCD panel can also control the color of each pixel, so that when the dichroic prism will recombine the light, it will create the perfect color.
