The Pentagon reveals the secrets about the B-2 Spirit bomber. That's how it looks inside.

The development work on the B-2 Spirit bomber began in the early 1980s, and the first flight took place in 1989. Looking at the still futuristic look of the machine, you can think that it was created only a few years ago or such a design should not fly. And yet! At present, it is one of the most advanced aircraft in the world that holds the title of the most expensive in the history of aviation.

The US Air Force has received a total of 20 pieces of this machine. They are all ready for action, as it is still, after more than 30 years, the flagship Pentagon bomber. In their history they took part in the most important armed conflicts, like the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, but in fact the USAF never used up to 1 percent of their potential.

The B-2 Spirit can carry the conventional Mk84 conventional weapon on its board, which is equipped with the necessary elements, suitable for specific tasks. Of course, the machine can also dump the most powerful conventional bombs GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator and nuclear weapons, including the most powerful, as only the Pentagon has.

This phenomenal flying wing will see its successor in 3 years. It will be a state-of-the-art machine marked B-21 Raider. According to unofficial information, it will be presented this autumn. At the moment, work on it is being finalized and is being tested in the famous Srefa 51 in Nevada (see here).
