Daily Tech #1 How to Block Someone on Gmail?
Mostly people like Gmail or they use their service. But it is not perfect from somewhere. You can not block any person in a click like Facebook. If you are getting too much email from one website or email, you would want to do something to stop these email from accessing the inbox. If you have decided that you do not want to match any particular email ID, then you can set up the filter and delete these email before you can access the inbox.
Let's start.
First Step: Open Gmail> Sign in> Then click on the arrow icon next to the blue search button on the right corner in the search bar on top.
Second Step: Now enter the email ID you want to block in the From section. You can enter a particular email id ([email protected]) or the entire domain (@ abc.com)> then click on the "Create Filter with this search"
Third Step: Now Check Delete> Then click on the "Create Filter"
By doing this, the mail coming from that particular email ID will automatically move to the Trash folder. You will not receive a notification for these emails, and they will automatically delete after 30 days.
Fourth Step: If you are on mail and want to block that ID, then click on the down arrow that appears next to reply. After that go to the filter message like this. Now follow the previous instructions.
Note: Gmail does not allow users to block to prevent sending mail to any e-mail id. If you do not want an email from a particular email ID, then follow the instructions above.
