400 Burger Per Hour Robot Will Put Teenagers Out Of Work
Momentum Machines has created a burger flipping and vegetable slicing and dicing robot.
They have just completed a round of funding and managed to secure $18 million . The machine is priced around 30 thousand dollars. I think at this point we can say if it replaces two workers plus outperforms them by any margin, we have a winning combination. In the days of automated grocery checkouts a burger flipping bot seems the logical next step and would pay for itself rather quickly.
Bot run food truck anyone?
I think I'll buy myself a robot and a truck, and travel the world. :P
That would be amazing.
Heck yes this looks awesome :-)
I would love to get one going.
The first big selling point is that it's fast. Burger would hit the grill as soon as you order it.
The second big selling point is that it would be cheaper then a human making it.
Demand is there because hey, since when did burgers not sell?
Without question, if you could reduce staff by 40-60% the profit margins would be insane, I have no question that this is in the near future, its quickly going to become the only way to survive as a Burger place, just like self check at the big box stores.:-)
Yes exactly.
It has been delayed getting to the burger places because the price had to come down on the technology for the more tedious work.
If I "stumble" on 30k I'll be sure to try it out and let you know how it goes. :)
