Well, a legal researcher isn't exactly a lawyer - and since I believe that in a lot of cases there is also a social component to consider, putting all of that job into an AI might not be a good idea ...
Although some lawyers might also be worse than an AI, as they are masters in contorting the truth ...

Very good points, thanks for your thoughts! There will need to be a lot more progress with AI for it to be a threat to lawyers but you never know what could happen in 20 - 40 years.
