Samsung mocks the iPhone and their fanboys in latest advert
Samsung's latest advert tells the tale of Samsung vs iPhone over the past 10 years in a 1 minute video. It features a young iPhone fan that faces all the issues that came with all the iPhone models down the years and at the end of the video he finally makes the switch to Samsung. Samsung, in a real cheeky manner titled this video: "Samsung Galaxy: Growing Up". The video is brilliantly savage, not only making fun of the iPhone but making fun of iPhone's fanboys.
The advert starts off with a character that buys the first iPhone and sure enough like most people after that, became iPhone fans. The first dig of the video is on the iPhone 3GS in 2010, this is when Apple became lazy and continuously showed its lack of innovation, the problem with the 3GS that was addressed in this video was an issue that I'm sure most people that used the phone would recognize, its lack of storage space.
The second dig is on the iPhone 5s in 2013. Here our character meets his soul mate, a Samsung fan. They exchange numbers and as he holds his iPhone 5s next to her Galaxy Note 3, you can see the significant difference in screen display. The 5s looks like a toy in comparison. It also shows that Samsung try to innovate more than Apple, by showing the stylus pen being used on the Galaxy Note 3, although nobody ever used a stylus pen to take down someones number before.
The next dig is on the iPhone 6 in 2016. Here Samsung makes fun of Apple failing to make the iPhone water resistant, something which Samsung had added to the Galaxy S7 Edge and something that most other phone companies added to their phones at the time.
The final dig on Apple is on their iPhone 7 and its lack of an audio jack and lack of ability to support wireless charging, a feature that's available on Samsung devices, as for the audio jack, that's a feature that every device has, I still can't understand what Apple were thinking!
Finally, in the advert the iPhone user makes the switch to Samsung and looks happier than ever as he walks pass a group of people standing in queue waiting for the iPhone X and there is one last dig, not on Apple themselves but its rather a dig at Apple's fanboys. The video shows an Apple fan standing in queue for the iPhone X and he has a very strange hairline, if you look closely you'll see it looks exactly like the top of an iPhone X.

How do you guys feel about this advert by Samsung? Do you feel its a bit rude that Samsung are disrespecting iPhone's ten year anniversary? Personally I find it brilliantly hilarious, because iPhone and their fanboys deserve to be made fun of. However, I also feel that Samsung and their fanboys deserve to be made fun of as well. There are 2 things that I look at when a new phone is released, innovation and price. iPhone fails on both and Samsung fails with price, Samsung just rate themselves too highly and their fanboys are too lazy to look for cheaper alternatives and there are a ton of cheaper alternatives that are better than Samsung phones.

I was an Apple user before then my IPhone 4S ran out of memory (exactly like in the ads) then I switched to Samsung and stay with it til now. No regret :)!

It should be understood that none deserve so much exaggeration from people. Especially that hate / love battles where sometimes both sides are crap things.
I remember also about xbox and PS fanboy fights. There the pain is even bigger. And love how pc always win even is not in the fight.

If they would own at least some shares at that companies i may understand 1% of that ego fight when they are using corporation products and they want to demonstrate that... that one is THE ONE...

Here wins only the big companies with free marketing. That's the big achievement they can get. Do nothing and have publicity.
And i hope you know that sometimes a bad publicity can help more than a good one...

Although, i don't think they have the power to do that. For this moment they released all their 'big" aces. And from my opinion it was their worst decision ever with 2 phones at once with nothing new in the market... eh.

What r some of the phones out there you would say are better and cheaper than samsung.
Off the top of my head, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is an excellent phone, not necessarily better than the s8 but it is significantly cheaper.
