Every time you read something new, then share your thoughts, written in a coherent manner, you develop. Steemit seems to have more actual conversation and a lot more worth than facebook, so therefore far more value.
And let's be honest who wouldn't rather have an "upvote" than a "thumbs-up"... approval comes in many forms.
As a personal note I started of a forum in 1995, just for information, since that meager daily posting... I became a writer now with7 published books and two more in process. Yes Steemit can be a real stepping stone (and one of value).
