Digital age technology and how its changing life
As we all heard that now we are already in the 21st century where all processes and works are automated. When i was growing up, i hardly knew what a computer is till i reach the age of 12. But the growth of technological frontier had never been better. The recent development has sparked curiosity among all, is the new age technology good or is it disruptive?
Technology has been helpful in our day to day life, we are pretty much dependent on it. For example , the Internet. It has been the one soul source of information besides printed material which have connection almost everyday. Conventional ways to of doing our ordeals has been changed to digital platforms. For example, banking ,postal services,logistics and much more.
These days we are heading so fast into new technologies even before we can experiment one simple technology advancement.Can we keep up with this? How can we do this? We don't need to digest all at one go , but one at a time.
But too slow can also be dangerous rite. This is because , as we speak many jobs are at stake due to technology advancement. Automation is taking place where robots are getting the job done in fraction of a sec compare to normal human beings. Some places are having fully automated services with no human intervention.
The main reason companies are adopting these technologies (expansive one off) , in a longer run they are able to save time and cost and increase the productivity. At the present moment these machine and robots are programmed to do things according to the instruction given. But in the years to come(maybe already present) , Artificial Intelligence and IOT are the new breed which would change the game. They have these capabilities to learn and execute actions. A recent video on the .Mic facebook page , shows a video that 20 years down the road, nearly half of the jobs in the US would be replace by Automation, and also a small speech by president Trump saying we need to be careful.
The main reason he mention this is because when jobs are taken, source of income for certain people would be affected. This would bring a lot of unwanted issue and problems. Hence , companies and organizations shall participate to encourage employees to educate themselves with the latest technology and development. Training and learning programme are essentials in the area to develop their skills. It is also said that these machine would be taxed based on how the taxation is imposed on human being which is working. I have yet to dig inside on that , but hey robot have to pay taxes as well(economical standpoint) .
At home , we are being greeted by digital assistance, which is in the form of computer programme. Smart home is one thing which is growing market. Tons of companies are providing these solutions which you are able to interact with your home. You would be able to switch on the lights, adjust your room temperature, raise up or open up your curtains and much more. Since its on open source many programmes can contribute ideas and energy to develop their own intelligence as well.
To sum it all up technology sits precisely on the fence, as i can say it depends on how we are embracing it and making use of it to our advantage. Great post! You are right that in the future, most of the current jobs will be replaced by artificial intelligence. But I believe that other new jobs will be created for humans.
For example, there will be an increased need for engineers and operators for these robots.
There will also be a change in the way employers hire and workers specialize in a job. There will be many and short-term specific tasks that require detailed knowledge. Workers can specialize in more than one field and be more flexible in regards to where they work and what they do.

Another argument presented in the article is that some tasks that are now considered of social value (as opposed to monetary) will be turned into regular jobs:
So after automation, there will still be jobs, with the broad definition of monetary reward. But the work system and job descriptions will be different.

I also believe not all jobs can be taken care by machines, the essence of a human is very much needed. Its imperative for all to learn and keep up with technology.
