RE: Elon Musk's Neuralink Practically Kickstarts The Cyborg Future

in #technology6 years ago

Before talking about sci-fi Terminator and Armagadeon views. We should be highlighting the true potential of this technology. It's not to make you a super-intelligent human at least in the beginning.

The true potential of neurolink is to enable people with diseases, disabilities or in case of an accident to recover all there motor functions and cognition again. A 'turn on' switch if you want.

It will be a revolution in the medical field without a doubt. For example, Parkinson disease or Alzheimer will benefit from this since it stimulates connections and neurons and helps regeneration certain parts. So the future is bright and Elon Musk is doing more than is part as a human.

We should praise this kind of ideas and implementations.

Yes, the initial purpose is to help people with disorders and this will do wonders for them. At the event, one of the engineers even said that people with paralysis could regain control of their body in the future if technology that can stimulate muscles can be developed which would then work in conjunction with the neural lace to give the user full control of their body back.

Elon is truly changing the world for the better and the future generations will remember him as one of the most important humans in history.
