Related to my recent post "Flying robots A threat to the Future" I thought i should gather some informantion enlighting on some of the current or upcoming technology. You can find several Kinds of super smart intelligent autonomous robots available today in this post.

Super intelligent autonomous robots available today

  In 2008, when MAST started working on spy drone, It seem like a childish dream , a story from scince fiction movie. These days Such wonders of science and physics can be seen all arround us , they became common place.

  MAST research Laboratories trying to develop pocket size robots, which can be use as battlefield scouts. They could move ahead from the soldiers and collect critical information regarding surroundings , no of enemies etc.

polycopters

  Currently the existing small drones are only polycopters. they have set of routers starting from four to six . their alignment is generally vertical .

cyclocopter

  The idea which is supposed to replace them is cyclocopter. It looks like an airborne paddles thingy, In order to make them , we need light weight matrials and latest tools for computing and measurements. These tools and equipments just been invented now it has become easy to design and build cyclocopters. MAST researchers have shrunk these devices from gigantic masses and bodies to small enough that can be scaled-down to less than few grams. Cyclocopter are almost 2 or three years away from being commercial.

Salto

  The kind that is the most famous among these tech wonders called salto. Developed by BML laboratories University of California. Salto is a hooping robot , which can jump arround uneven surface , climb stairs etc . It can speed up to two metres/s. The technology which is used to develop and deliver the processing power it has needed in order to operate has been invented recently. But salto still needs many improvements. It is not far when robots will be available commonly who can fly, jump and use wheels to move arround.
