Huawei Mate 10 Pro vs iPhone X

in #technology9 years ago

Both iPhone X and Huawei Mate 10 Pro can be purchased for November at the telecom companies and you may need to pick a new phone and you have two in mind. If you are unsure which one to choose, then this overview of the most important differences on the iPhone X and Huawei Mate 10 Pro can help you. iPhone X vs Huawei Mate 10 Pro - Specifications and Price.

Mate 10 Pro VS. iPhone X: Design

The design of the two phones will remind you very much about each other. Mate 10 Pro is slightly larger than iPhone X as a whole - one centimeter higher is the biggest difference. Front and rear glass with aluminum frame on Mate 10 Pro and stainless steel on iPhone X.

Both phones come with an IP67 certification which means water repellent up to 30 minutes in one meter deep water.

Mate 10 Pro VS. iPhone X: Display

The screen on the iPhone X is the very big news. The 5.8-inch screen covers the entire front and comes with a Super AMOLED display technology and a resolution of 1125 x 2436 pixels - in other words, nothing new in the rest of the mobile world.

The Huawei Mate 10 Pro can almost measure itself with iPhone X, but the resolution is not quite as sharp. The large 6 inch screen on the Mate 10 Pro has an AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels.

Mate 10 Pro VS. iPhone X: Camera

Dual camera has almost become a must in 2017 and the two fighting tanks are no exception. The Huawei Mate 10 Pro camera comes with a primary 12 megapixel camera and a secondary camera with a 20 megapixel monochrome sensor. The Mate 10 Pros dual camera both have an impressive 1.6 -pert aperture, never seen on a smartphone before, and optical image stabilization.

The dual-camera in the iPhone X comes with a 12 megapixel primary camera with aperture of 1.8, and the other dual-zoom camera is also 12 megapixel and with a 2.4-inch aperture.

In the video game, iPhone X impresses by being able to shoot at 4K at 60 frames per second and slow motion at 240 frames per second. The Huawei Mate 10 Pro can also film in 4K, but only in standard 30 frames per second.

Mate 10 Pro VS. iPhone X: Battery

Now, we can not talk so much about how the battery in the two phones works in practice, so we have to stick to the specifications. Here, of course, it becomes a bit misleading, as the Mate 10 Pro comes with a large 4000 mAh battery while the iPhone X has to be 2716 mAh.

The battery on iPhones has always been significantly less compared to Android phones, but it does not necessarily mean that battery life is getting better on Mate 10 Pro. A test must determine which one uses the battery best.

Mate 10 Pro VS. iPhone X: Processor, RAM, and memory

Now we will get it a bit more technical. Both Apple and Huawei, of course, praise their new processors to provide the ultimate experience. At Mate 10 Pro we find Huawei's own Kirin 970 processor, 6GB RAM and 128GB of memory.

iPhone X comes with Apple's super powerful A11 Bionic chip, 3GB of RAM and either 64GB or 256GB of memory.

Again it's hard to decide which phone is the best in this category, as both can not be bought yet. One can, however, expect that everything will run just fine, no matter what one should choose. Probably, iPhone X will put Mate 10 pro in place in benchmark testing, but in practice, you will experience both as powerful.

Mate 10 Pro VS. iPhone X: Software

Huawei has long made a version of Android that resembles iOS quite a lot. With EMUI 8.0 on Android 8.0 Oreo we begin to get something that deviates a bit more from iOS. Android 8 comes with a lot of enhancements and features, and it's great to be the first with Mate 10 Pro.

The iOS 11 on the iPhone X will look much like what we know. However, there is no home button anymore, so now you have to swipe up from the bottom to get to the home screen. The control panel must now be downloaded in one of the corners at the top and the same applies to the notifications. It may seem like the same iOS as we know it, but will require some reverberation for tanned Apple users.

Mate 10 Pro VS. iPhone X: Unlocking

With iPhone X and the new Face ID, I've chosen to dedicate a special category to that. The home button has disappeared on iPhone X and it means now that you have to use your face to unlock. That's not to say how it works. However, it will hardly be much easier than putting a finger on the Touch ID button.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro has chosen a more simple solution, namely to throw the successful fingerprint scanner on the backside - that is, a place where you can reach it. However, there is no face scanner or iris scanner on the Huawei Mate 10 Pro.

Right now, I do not think there is a successful method of unlocking the face. It may be that iPhone X will be the first to surprise me.
