We Live in Amazing Times
Attitude is everything. Life is pretty good (far from perfect). Turn off the news for a few days and look around.
In 1916, no matter how rich you were, you wouldn't be able to enjoy air conditioning, TV, smart phones, the Internet, timely transportation, contact lenses, international food, antibiotics, effective dental care, a high likelihood of surviving infancy... Things to keep in mind as we protest social injustice. We protest in relative terms injustices. There will always be someone doing better than us no matter where we are in life so we should temper our passions, the anger, and violence. While there is still work to do and it is being done, look where we’ve come in just 100 years. It’s amazing even for the poorest among us. Things are getting better everyday.
