This is a way of tricking people for them to get easily hacked. This is only on the condition where first person was the one who created the app and injected it with a malware. By recommending it if you download and install it. The malware based on its functionality would work as it was programmed to exploit the mobile phone.

This hacking technique is known as Social Engineering.

Please beware of applications you dowmload from the internet sites google as an example some app developers might have injected malware into the application that can steal your files or modify files on your mobile device.

Always when you are going to dowload a file on google playstore check the permission details to find out what access the app would have on your phone before you dowload it.
