Newest Boston Dynamics robots

Robotic is my other passion. For this reason I have been reading about Boston Dynamics. Boston Dynamics is one of the companies in charge of making prototypes of robots capable of doing any task that a human could do and even more, that means, they are also capable of doing things that we could not do, for example, loading stuff with too much weight excess. Therefore, its main slogan is "changing your idea of what robots can do".

Boston Dynamics wants to demonstrate this by making different prototypes of robots; the most known until now are the robot dogs that eventually behave like a normal dog, but with a plus of accommodating and lifting things, as well as helping humans with some tasks and even recently opening the door. But his latest prototype called "Handle" is the one that has created the most controversies.

It is a robot that has all four limbs and has two wheels on its legs; these wheels allow it to move much easier and perform different types of tasks, lifting and carrying things, jumping, passing difficult obstacles among others. In my opinion, technology has advanced very fast over time. However, the creation of robots that can perform human tasks in a better way are trying to replace the human works.

With this, I mean that robots can be much more efficient than a human at the time of performing any task and this will bring in the future that the laziness of human beings feeds more and more. Because if you have a robot that can do everything for you, so why you do it yourself? I see the reflection of the movie Wall-e, where humans are fat, and the robots and machines managed everything, so much so that the humans are not even able to walk.

We would then return to the middle age where at a certain point the machines began to replace human works. It comes to my mind the Charlie's and the chocolate factory movie where Charlie’s father is fired from his job of putting the tops on the toothpaste and it is replaced by a machine that does it in less time.

This could happen because of wanting in one way or another to save more expenses, but we are affecting ourselves. It is time that the creators of robots think more about what recursive robots could be without having to overcome the human being, and not in the success and big profits that could be obtained by making these prototypes.
