Psyche Asteroid Worth 10,000 Quadrillion
NASA Finds Psyche Planetoid
Welcome Steemit friends. I have written about this on my Facebook page when it was found a while ago. I thought I would share my ideas on the incredible find and how it will most likely be used.
The Psyche planetoid may be a core of a planet in which all is blown away. The size of the asteroid Psyche is 240 kilometers or 149 nautical miles in diameter.
Made largely of iron and nickel, a solid piece of metal in space, Psyche is the most valuable extraterrestrial find in space. It is located in the asteroid belt where it orbits the Sun between Jupiter and Mars.
First, let me tell you I have met, known, and worked with NASA and related contractor scientists in the past. I suggested NASA scrap all missions until they find something of value that pays for the cost of the science and missions. They did it. They found Psyche.
Next, I thought that they should immediately claim it for the people of the United States.
When it was found my suggestions were many:
- Claim the Asteroid
- The Asteroid Psyche becomes a bank in the federal reserve system
- The Asteroid must be guarded just like any bank and theft prevented with methods to deter theft
- The Asteroid is the hard collateral for the printing of money, called the asteroid backed dollar.
- The Asteroid Psyche's value is 30,000 - 30 Trillion dollar federal budgets (The current budget is about 3 trillion dollars or so)
NASA has quickly modified a spacecraft that was to go to Psyche making it faster, more powerful, and on a better trajectory. Here is a mockup photograph of the spacecraft which will soon be in flight:
The launch is expected to occur in the summer of 2022 and arrive at the Asteroid Psyche in 2026.

Very ambitious!
In my head I am thinking what would be the price of bitcoin that year... :)
By the time that year rolls around it should be very interesting my friend @sidwrites. People have predicted that bitcoin can and will hit $5 million per coin. The high on Poloniex was $2698 today and was just at $2440 up from $2379.
The possibility may come along that bitcoin will reach that level of the predicted price or that it could be replaced by newer technology before then. It is an interesting question to think that far ahead:
Bitcoin price will no doubt be affected by several natural disasters within that time frame and will stocks. It used to be that when stocks tumbled Bitcoin went up. The current trend is that bitcoin is a function independent of stocks or other hard assets such as gold and outperforms them all.
For example, I have known about sandwich or multi-processor-chips for a few decades and what if the sandwich size grew to say 128 in a cell phone for whatever reason? That would have a profound affect on cryptocurrencies and mining. Everyone could make some on their phone fairly easily which is currently not possible. Oh, there are apps but...and, if I knew that sometimes it is better to watch and keep it to oneself.
why not just go mine it?
Someday we will but notice that it is taking years just to claim our "money in the bank." It might be awhile until we can actually make anything out of it in space, like Elysium or Ringworld.
The article does not say it but There is also something like a hundred times or is it a thousand times more gold in Psyche than on Earth
consider a smaller scale.
the aten and Apollo asteroids. Why go to them when they come to us?
I was just sayin' NASA is a money maker. Maybe those two asteroids are not valuable, I don't know about them. Also, it is my personal opinion that bringing the mined metal to earth is a disaster waiting to happen. One of the reasons that Psyche would have to be guarded is because it is made of valuable stuff. A thief could go to it, take some, and lob it at the earth. a thief could even gently try to set it down on the earth and KABOOM! and extinction event.
you missunderestimate the power required to manipulate orbits.
changing the orbit of something massive is going to be REALLY HARD.
which is EXACTLY why the Aten and the Appolo asteroids are so valuable.
for buses.
Some times they're close to earth...some times they are close to other places..why not hollow them out, install a habitat in the center (protected from all that nasty radiation)...and hitch a ride. When they get close enough to where we want to be...hop off.
Sound thought and I do not fail to understand orbits and changing the orbit of something. There is one problem with hollowing something out in space and that is what do you do with the waste? It just floats around making travel through the area impossible. I do know what to do with it but I am about to write another article on Earth versus space resources.
Also just so you know, I have to be a little careful about what I suggest or the Men in Black will show up and it won't be about aliens this time.
And, what if you hollow out an asteroid and it goes somewhere you don't want it to go?

wind it up with power from solar cells...throw the 'stuff' where you want it to go..

HaHaHa and yes i did. And point it at a star and eventually the projectile will go really fast, or perhaps the launcher
