What is a laser?
The laser is a device that releases the beam of coherent light through an optical expansion process. There are several types of lasers, including gas lasers, fiber lasers, solid state lasers, die lasers, diode lasers, and exciserator lasers. All laser varieties share a group of basic elements.
How is Laser Technology Used?
Lasers are the essential components of the various products we use every day. Consumer products such as Blu-ray and DVD players depend on laser technology to read information from disks. Bar code scanners rely on lasers for information processing. Lasers are also used in many surgical procedures, such as lask eye surgery. In preparation, lasers are used for cutting, carving, drilling and a wide range of materials.
