DON'T Buy The iPhone 8, Buy The iPhone 8...?

Posting this video because I admire the integrity. I read someone in the comment section write that this is some illuminati s**t. I couldn't disagree more. To me, this is an honest expression and it's refreshingly genuine and comforting to gain insight into the thought process. For those who don't know, this is Lew from Unbox Therapy - Canadas largest online technology channel.

Might take viewers a couple minutes to understand the context. May seem like Lew is going crazy, but this is very interesting for me and should be for anyone who likes to keep up with concurrent tech products in the marketplace. While this is unorthodox for his channel as he attests to that in the clip and literature, it's undeniable that Lew has had rare perspective and thus gained uncommon knowledge with regards to past launches, and learning about his thought process after being apart of those launches in an indirect way (marketing and giving iPhones away for FREE via his contests) is very insightful.

The Apple Store recently put the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus up for sale but unlike traditional iPhone launches, the excitement level tapered for this one. Perhaps because the launch of the iPhone X is on the horizon. When comparing the iPhone 8 vs the iPhone X, it seems Apple has spent significantly more developing the latter. The iPhone X offers a complete design overhaul, much like its flagship industry competition including the Note, S8 and S8 Plus to name a few. Images of empty Apple stores on the day of the iPhone 8 launch surfaced online which hasn't been a recent trend for the tycoon. The big question may or may not be whether they are losing popularity in our current marketplace. Competition is tougher than ever and that seems to be the general message conveyed.

My favourite part "My only hope, really is to illuminate the inner (and outer) conversations that us YouTube tech guys have privately. Sometimes I'm genuinely excited, some products bring that out of me. Sometimes it's the opposite and that feeling presents it's own set of complications trying to relay that message responsibly."

This is GREAT because it seems the mandate is ensure viable information is being passed on. Seems he feels obligated to his followers which is the best way to grow an organic audience and that's well exemplified by the number of followers and long-term success of the channel (Up over 8.5 Million viewers!).

In summary, I respect the integrity of this channel as there seems to be a mandate to ensure that the information being relayed is genuine, and the decision to show this video but the hesitation to advocate is rendered by the launch of the X on the horizon Keen sense of obligation and it's something I appreciate and I think most people would too. Funny personality too. The guy cracks some decent jokes every once in a while.
