The exhibition “Transport of Russia” displays a three-section unicar designed by SkyWay Technologies Co.

This is a logical step forward; last year the Company exposed at the exhibition only models, and now one of the new cutting edge products, a commercial sample of an Unicar which can be seen in Moscow.

It is noteworthy that the stand of the innovative SkyWay transport stand is located opposite the stand of the transportation monopolist OJSC “RZD” (“Russian Railways”).

It is just the small area between those 2 stands of OJSC “RZD” and SkyWay Technologies Co. that has become the most agitated place since the first day, sort of an open door between transport generations.

The distinguished guests who personally saw Unicar and the SkyWay delegation included: Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov and Minister of transport Maxim Sokolov.

What is a string transport?

As string transport electric vehicles (cars on steel wheels)- the Unicar presented at the exhibition is one of the variants moving on special string rails.

The main differences to other overpassing roads technologies are: tension prestressing of the structure, low material consumption and visual ease.

This transport solution harmoniously fits into the infrastructure of any metropolis.

What is interesting about the novelty?

Unicar can be used for both urban and intercity traffic.

It is in one model line with light unibuses and is equipped with seats.

An eighteen-seat industrial model is shown. Its maximum speed is 120-150 km/h, the performance of the complex is more than 50 thousand passengers/h, the maximum longitudinal slope of the path is up to 30%.

"String technologies" in Russia and the world

String transport was recognized as innovative in Russia.

After participating in the meeting of the Working Group on Innovation in Public Procurement, the technology received a chance to be recommended for implementation.

Pre-design studies of the possibilities of using innovative SkyWay transport systems for several regions of the Russian Federation have been carried out.

At the moment the company is successfully developing in the Asian markets: a number of agreements have been signed in the framework of cooperation with the national programs of India, Indonesia & Australia.
