The new 4 companies coming under the management of the mobile tower

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has recently released the approved policy of licensing 4 companies operating more than 30,000 towers owned by all the mobile phone companies.
On January 4, the policy, with the approval of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication and IT, sent it to the BTRC. The Ministry directed the BTRC to take immediate steps to take immediate steps. But the BTRC-approved policy has published three months later. The authorities have been delayed due to discussions regarding the amendment in some clauses of the policy.
It has been said in the approved policy that companies can manage new towers with 30% of the country's and 70% foreign investment. Later, the BTRC plans to take 100 percent foreign-owned ownership to attract foreign investment. But the Commission has withdrawn the decision by scrutinizing the matter. As a result, the company has issued notices as per the previously approved policy. It is known that due to three months delay.
In the light of the new policy, the BTRC has invited tender for the selection of qualified institutions in the tower. The last day of submitting the tender application is May 13. The evaluation committee will be able to choose eligible bidders in three weeks. It is known that the licensing activities will be completed in June. 4 companies will be licensed by the bidders.
It is learned that the 'Beauty Contest' method will be followed in the management of tower management. In this process, the evaluation committee will select an organization qualified from the participants on the basis of certain qualifications. The technical and financial capabilities of each institution participating will be scrutinized on specific criteria.
