I just read in another post a quote from Steve jobs:

Technology is nothing. What's important is that you have a faith in people, that they're basically good and smart, and if you give them tools, they'll do wonderful things with them. Steve Jobs.

I don't know if his actual contributions were more toward the people or the elitist consumers, the history will judge that, but I found these words appropiate.
