ASUS Launches Quantum Cloud Distributed GPU Super Computer- Get Paid using your GPUs

I got an email from ASUS talking about a new, distributed super-computing project that they've started an initiative for, which may be of value to Crypto-miners with idle, unprofitable GPUs.

Quantumcloud's platform allows gamers to utilize idle GPUs to earn low-maintenance income. When you start the app, Quantumcloud uses some of your GPU's power to run powerful cloud-based applications. These applications generate profit for the platform, and you'll earn a cut based on the amount of GPU power provided. Your returns are generated daily and you can withdraw the funds via your existing PayPal account. Quantumcloud doesn't need to save any of your private financial information, since we pay you directly using existing PayPal platforms that you already use and trust.

Their website goes on to say that a 1070 GPU could earn $10 a month, which is about on par with what you would earn via Nicehash mining. Electricity costs, and max load of your GPU, would also be considerations. You get paid via PayPal, so you could always buy more steemmonsters booster packs with the proceeds.

The electricity costs here in South Australia are far too prohibitive to make ASUS's program a profitable one for me; but it is incredible to see a mainstream technology company adopt a distributed computing system and pay end users for the computational cycles they contribute to the cluster.

It isn't blockchain, but it is decentralised.
