I'd just like to give everybody a quick reminder that you should NEVER give your Steemit password to a third party.
I would highly advise all steemians to not use that method for this ICO. The second one (send via Steemit wallet) seems safe.
Hey @heymattsokol. Thank you for the comment and I totally agree that you should Never Ever give your password to anybody.
Just to be clear to the community, we are not asking for a password. We are using standard code, which you can review in our github https://github.com/SportsPodium/SteemPreICOForm. The only way to transfer money from one Steem Wallet to another is for the owner of the account to authenticate using their password. We do not see the password nor can we save the password.

Hey @jacor, Can you prove your point? I mean nobody can take the guarantee of the mouth word. If you can, explain to me how you can't have any kind of access to the password?
Hey @raghu-nath, the easiest way to explain it is too have a look into our code on github. If you have any doubt and would like to get your hands on some pods, please do a direct transfer from your Steem Wallet to the @sportspodium Steem wallet and just specify your email address in the memo field. This way you don't need to submit your password to the pre-sale website. We honestly only want to give the Steemit community a chance to purchase Pods early in the race before we run our main token sale

How nice the intention may be.
Passwords should never be transferred outside the system.
Steemit should implement Oauth authentication.
With Oauth, Steemit can verify accounts for third party applications .
While keeping your password safe.
Hi @fechaugger I agree with your statement that we need something similar to OAuth for third party applications. We had to go down this route as we want to make it as easy as possible for everybody to participate. If you have any doubt and would like to get your hands on some pods, please do a direct transfer from your Steem Wallet to the @sportspodium Steem wallet and just specify your email address in the memo field. This way you don't need to submit your password to the pre-sale website. We honestly only want to give the Steemit community a chance to purchase Pods early in the race before we run our main token sale.
