If This Then That... Track Bitcoin value with IFTTT (among other stuff)
Yesterday I attended my company's breakfast seminar. What is a breakfast seminar? Well, it's about presenting new services and technologies which can apply to our business in an informal atmosphere (the breakfast part). Sometimes it can be dreary and dull, and sometimes there can be some awesome stuff... like IFTTT!
What is IFTTT? Here is the WikiPedia definition:
IFTTT is a free web-based service that people use to create chains of simple conditional statements, called applets. An applet is triggered by changes that occur within other web services such as Gmail, Facebook, Instagram, or Pinterest. IFTTT is an initialism for If This Then That.
Basically, you can create any type of conditional statement in order to link web or informatic services between themselves and automatize it. One (free) IFTTT which I have already setup is this one:
Now, every day, I get in my Google Drive a spreadsheet which records Bitcoin value:
Would it not be awesome to have the same thing for Steemit price or all other Altcoins? or the value of your own portfolio on Poloniex or Bittrex? Any volunteer who has the skills to do that?
