Porsche's new electric car( mission e) set to beat Tesla's car price.
All the famous automakers have been trying to challenge the price points set by the Tesla cars by promising to release their own electric cars in the up coming future. Porsche has just entered this race and revealed their new electric car called the ' Mission e '. They say that the car is scheduled to be released in 2019 and will have a price tag of $80k-90k.
The Mission e is said to be close to the concept car shown by porsche almost 2 years ago at the International Motor Show. In terms of specs the car is said to do 0-60 in less than 3.5 seconds which is very impressive. It is also said to have a top speed of 155 mph and will be released with different power levels just as Tesla releases the same car with different power levels.
There are also rumors that the Mission e range will be expanded by Porsche and later on a SUV, coupe or wagon models may be released too. Porsche, like other auto makers are also trying very hard to make a name in the electric car space but will they succeed in this endevour? We will have to wait 2 years to find the answer to that question.

This is the design shared by Porsche but the final product might be a little different. You should make the final decision to buy after 2 years when the actual car is released.

Lets just hope the price of crypto increases a lot in 2 years time so that we can finally afford such luxuries.
The ironic thing is in a decade, those luxuries will be of non-interest to most people. To start, prices will deflate as technology takes over more of the economy. Also, with autonomous cars in full swing starting in the 2022 period (my guess), we will see a much different approach to transportation by 2027.
It is wonderful all that is going on in the world...progress is starting to take off.
That car looks stunning
Given their reputation and long history of making leading sports cars I expect Porsche will succeed in making a name for themselves in the electric car market.
Tesla was early to the game with full-sized electric sedans and SUVs but it doesn't seem like they necessarily have an advantage over the established brands in this space. They do have a large network of charging stations but beyond that it seems like any of the other car makers can match Tesla very quickly in terms of car features and performance.
Regardless which company becomes number 1 in the electric vehicle market I hope that they do it based on the actual needs of car buyers and not through government subsidies as is currently the case with Tesla.

STOPI wonder what kind of range Porsche will get with this car.
They are claiming that it will have a range of 300 miles but we will know more when it is released.
Fellow car blogger! IMO I don't see the Mission E competing with the Model S on mainly price (though price will certainly affect the decisions of some). Being how different the brands are, I feel those who buy a Mission E would be interested in a Porsche regardless.
