A House that Walks
Technology is advancing really fast that it was in previous years. Buying a big house is everyone’s dream but if you can take your house with you while going outside how would that be? I think that would be awesome. It is now possible and you can move the house slowly through landscapes and cityscape causing minimal impact on the environment. It gets its energy from solar panels around the body and store it in reliable batteries. There is also a provision for a system to collect water and use solar heated hot water. A small module is provided for greenhouse and wood stove to be added. One of the best thing that I loved about it is the house is not dependent upon the surface it walks, it can walk on all sorts of terrain.
Inside the house
The structure of the house is completely scalable depending upon the family size. A normal unit can accommodate a max of 4 people. The house modules can be constructed from various materials. Its framework is made of steel, aluminium and wood and can be covered with all these material or even semi- permeable textiles. The house is insulated with thin plates of Polyethylene to wool.
The house includes stairs in the rear section functioning as an entrance. It includes 6 legs and each leg works like an autonomous unit. The basic concept of having six legs is to give a feel of a man walking and with this it can be mounted on any structure. At one time it has 3 legs on the ground to provide stability while walking. The structure is made modular so that the house can adapt to persons instead of persons having to adapt to it.
