It's funny, I was listening to an interview with a biological engineering student who was describing how they were working with E. Coli and they got tired of it smelling like shit so they modified its genes so it would smell like mint, and then they got tired of monitoring their cultures for them to be mature so they modified them so that when they were ready they would go from smelling like mint to smelling like bananas. That shit is bananas, literally.
