Things You Should Know on How to Avoid Cyber Attacks While Using Your Smartphone

in #technology7 years ago

In my previous post is about on how to know if your smartphone has malware, virus or any cyber attacks.

It is very important to know what are the cause of having a virus in your smartphone and in this post I'm going to share to you on how to protect yourself from any cyber attacks.

When you are connected in the internet sometimes you are not aware of what's happening while you are doing your stuffs in the cyber world. It sounds like technical but you don't need to worry about these things because even people that don't have any technical background can understand the situation.

Have you ever encounter when you go to a website using your smartphone and something will pop-up like says "Warning Your Phone Is at Risk, Click here to resolve the issue" or "Virus detected. Click scan" but all of these things are just fake popup. Remember you are using your smartphone for browsing the net and these popups are designed for the user who are using their smartphone. Sometimes we call it a Click bait. So when you click the link they will direct you to another page and direct you what you need to do and it will lead you to their trap. Pop-up click bait is a very old strategy but it getting up to date to get tight up with our current technology.

The other things is click bait download. When you are downloading something like, songs, movies or even apps you in a website, sometimes these websites are tricky they will direct you to another page that has many download link in it and this is frustrating and you need to click the right link for you to download the thing that you want to download. Sometimes theses websites has ads.onclick mechanism so before you get something from their website you must click their download link for a few times. but always be careful that you must not get caught on these traps.

This the most important thing to protect you from getting virus from any site or application. Never ever download any crack version of an application. Even if it is a games or business apps. You should download the app from the original creator or else these crack version has malicious code that will destroy your smartphone and your privacy and sensitive information will be compromise.

Also be mindful where you are connected. Hackers are very deceitful they can set up a fake WiFi hot spot that is named by a coffee shop or any types of business and when you are connected in their connection, BANG! you are in danger. They can get direct access from your device and they can get whatever they want.

These are the things that you should know for you to protect from the cyber attack. These are not the only way but I feel like these are the very common situation that you must know.

I hope you find my post helpful.
