Mobile telephony, the fourth generation (4G / LTE) is already well known in the world. And now Vodafone and Nokia have announced a very interesting project. Namely, they announced that they will set up the first mobile 4G network on the Moon as early as next year.
The project will be carried out with the help of the Berlin Part Time Scientists team, who participated in the recent Google Lunar Xprize competition and showed that high technology is not foreign to them.
The fast 4G mobile network on the Moon will be set up using the Nokia Ultra Compact Network 4G, weighing just a good kilogram ( 2.2 pounds ). This transmitter then connects to the transmitter on the Earth, which means that the first broadcast will be able to play high-definition live footage on the Moon. This project should lay the foundations for further exploration of the solar system and for further development of the telecommunications network on the Moon. The 4G network is expected to come to life in the first half of 2019, and preparations for a logistically demanding project are expected at full speed.

At least the 4g network will be useful for the machines to receive commands from Earth. This will set the stage for moon mineral mining as the whole of the moon will be connected at 4g speeds. First we send the machines to harvest the materials we need and build the structures then we send the humans to populate.
