RE: ADSactly Tech News - Are Kids Addicted to Technology?
I mean, who wouldn't be? I grew up without technology in today's sense of the word, and hell, I'M addicted to it. Not from the standpoint of getting likes on Twitter, but more from all the amazing things that you can learn. It's a modern day miracle! I have kids ranging in age from when tech existed, but wasn't as prevalent, to my youngest, who has used it from the age of 18 months. I read all the studies suggesting that this was a bad thing, and summarily ignored them. Why would I deprive a child one of the most amazing things they will ever use, that indeed they'll use for the rest of their lives? At 12, my son knows so much more than I did at that age, because he has several super computers at his disposal to answer any question he may have. He can learn to perform tasks by watching another person do them, thus making chances for success in life greater.
