Real progress in the cryptoworld comes from only one source

It is not possible to make real progress in the cryptocurrency world just by "coding". You will need to make progress in math. At the moment, the bitcoin math theorem remains unchallenged. We have the "tangle" (iota) and "hashgraph" experiments, but these people still need to prove that their otherwise commendable attempts will really be viable.

In other words, and as usual, there is exactly zero dollars to be made by just recoding the same concept all over again. In that case, download the existing code and just run it. Still, you will undoubtedly be ignored and your efforts will almost certainly be in vain.

Steemit contains an interesting element of surprise, in which it has a first-mover advantage.

If all that programmers did, were just "coding", i.e. pissing code, there would be no way to explain why Bill Gates, Ray Ellison, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, and now also Satoshi Nakamoto and Vitalik Buterin are multibillionaires.

You can no longer hope to become the richest man in the world, if you are not a programmer.

Experience also shows that you should avoid "partnering up" with non-programmers, if you want to achieve anything of value. They will invariably be misguided, and make you fail way below the level that you would otherwise be able to reach. I am speaking from personal experience here. They are only ok if they are not allowed to decide anything at all.
