Introducing Project ERION

Technology is always bringing into the horizon things previously thought impossible.

The technology of 3D printing has dramatically lowered the barriers of entry into DIY biology projects, allowing enthusiasts, students, and activists to produce homemade systems that would have originally costed thousands of dollars down to just hundreds.

The time has come to apply this power to tackle global warming. The time has come to open it to everyone, and incentivize its use by introducing the worlds first peer-to-peer, decentralized carbon credit powered by Tendermint, ERION.

By creating a 3D printable photobioreactor, designed to host and grow air cleansing algae, publishing the schematics and allowing everyone who participates to earn ERION, we will build an artificial lung big enough to lower the Earth's CO2 footprint, and mitigate the destruction caused by fossil fuels.

By utilizing Tendermint, we will have a truly universal, fast P2P carbon credit that can be redeemed in seconds, opening the world to a new era in carbon trade. We are ERION. Talented and passionate individuals, inquire how you too can join our ranks. Ask us anything.

Sounds interesting, looking forward to learn more about your project. I'd suggest you to have some blank lines in your introduction text to make it easier to read. Thanks :)

This sounfs interesting but you need to give much more information about what your product is. Are you selling carbon footprint offset in a crowdfunding way in order to fund carbon reducing machines?

In my ideal scenario, there will be no crowdsale of the token, and the device will be low cost or easily reproducible.

This means that for initial funding I will be seeking other avenues such as Kickstarter or VC. At this point I am hoping that it will be an activist/hackerspace project and grow from there.

Your thoughts and feedback are appreciated as well!

Any links to social media or websites possibly? Sounds very interesting, the design has the air of Ethereum though.

I have a GitHub organization currently and will be adding whitepapers and specs there, social media and a home base on the web are coming soon! Also, the design is not final, it's meant to be an eye catcher for the article. :)

Hi @entropyjs interesting tech. Could you cite your claims please if you can? Will be easier to click on to know more right away about ERION

@coinbitgold Thanks for your inquiry. I will cite references in three areas:

  1. Falling costs of 3D printed bioreactors
  2. Effectiveness of algae at carbon sequestration
  3. The efficiency and low footprint of Tendermint as a base for tokens/smart contracts

Once these references are procured I will post them as a reply here. I am very knowledgeable and think this project has great potential. I will back it up!
