Obins Anne Pro RGB Bluetooth Keyboard With Brown Switches Review
Greetings friends!
Today I will be talking about the Anne Pro Mechanical Keyboard.
Firstly I did lots of research before buying this keyboard, I wanted to get the most value and a good experience as well as the keyboard to look good. This keyboard fulfilled all those things.
The keyboard is cheap for a mech, however don't be fooled it feels premium and sturdy. I have carried it in my bag a few times with no effect on it. The key caps feel good and won't fade as they are double shot ABS, they also sound really nice whether you pick brown or blue switches. This entire keyboard just feels sturdy and high quality.
Moving onto the lighting and software. People have complained about the phone app for changing the lighting effects being really badly done, but I have found it to be simple and usable. There can be some issues with connecting your keyboard to your phone, but the only issue I found myself is on iPhone. The issue is if you have another device already connected on Bluetooth the keyboard will not connect. However you can just disconnect the other device and connect the keyboard perfectly fine. After you get it setup and connected to the app it is easy to alter the lighting, just select a mode and it will change to that mode. You can adjust the brightness and rate really easily as well. There is roughly 15 predefined modes you can choose from. And its really easy to make keys the color you want, however you cannot add special effects on to a custom mode. The keyboard software its self has only failed me once, when the A key got locked up for some reason. I had to unplug the keyboard to fix the issue. You can also alter the lighting modes on the keyboard its self, using the specific Fn keys assigned to it.
Talking about unplugging, yes I am using the Bluetooth keyboard with the cable supplied. My reasoning for this is as follows. Firstly the battery holds only 1 day with lighting at maximum brightness, it will hold 30 days without lighting but that's lame... Who doesn't want a keyboard which shines bright and beautiful. Secondly the Bluetooth is simply trash. The latency is very noticeable, it make the keyboard feel bad and unresponsive, playing competitive games is impossible, even writing a small sentence into google feel shit. If you're thinking about getting this for the Bluetooth, then don't bother. The cable solves all those issues.
Overall its a really good keyboard, the typing feels good on the Gateron Browns, it sounds good. And lastly it looks good. It is well worth your money and you can buy different key caps to alter the look!
Here is a picture of an Anne Pro with different key caps!
I got this keyboard from GearBest. It took roughly 2 weeks to come to the UK. I had no issues with customs.
Thanks for reading this guys! Be on the look out for more from me!
Nice!
