Dell Introduces The World's First Wireless Charging Laptop

At CES this week, a new laptop design was announced by Dell, the Latitude 7285 2-in-1 notebook that is expected to be coming to the market later this year. The laptop is going to be designed with wireless charging capabilities, so you won't need to deal with that pesky charging cord any longer. This will be the first laptop to come to market with such a feature.

The laptop uses WiTricity magnetic resonance wireless charging technology.

The laptop device will also be able to be used as a tablet, thanks to the convenient detachable design mode. There are a number of keyboard options that go with it, and it's a great option for those who primarily want to sit at a desk while using a laptop, but who also want a little more flexibility to use that laptop like a tablet. It also has a micro SD slot and there is room for two USB sticks/type ports. The laptop is going to give you 512 GB of SSD storage, come with Windows 10, and give you a 2,880 x 1,920 screen.

There is no estimated cost yet for the laptop, although it's expected that it could hit the market as early as May 2017. After a user is done using the laptop, all they need to do is place it onto the charging mat and the item will automatically begin to charge. It is expected that more information about the product is going to be unveiled around Dell EMC World this year.
