3D Printing Set To Transform Numerous Industries

3D printing is expected to slowly transform a number of different industries worldwide, including manufacturing, construction, bio-engineering, electronics, and more.

We have already seen that 3D printers can produce anything and everything from regular everyday items to houses, cars, and bridges.

The full capabilities of 3D printing technology are said to still be far from becoming fully realized. There is still lots of room for growth and many ways that we are going to see this technology slowly make its way into a myriad of spaces and change the way that we do everything from making houses and cars, to clothing, prosthetic limbs, and more.

Construction alone is a multi-trillion dollar industry that could be helped in many ways by 3D printing technology.

Because of issues within this industry, such as poor productivity, waste, and high accident rates, it leaves a lot of room for 3D printing technology to be able to come in and help.

One Chinese-based 3D printing construction company known as Winsun has estimated that 3D printing could save construction companies 50 percent or more on the cost of building.

3D printing is already being utilized to create buildings, bridges, and houses. One home was able to be printed within 24 hours. As industry experts have pointed out however, there is still plenty of room for growth and much greater potential with this technology to some day be fully realized.

You can find 3D printing projects taking place worldwide, there are a variety of different creative projects that are currently underway. Some of those are aimed toward using 3D printing technology to come up with low cost housing solutions.

There are some reports of companies being able to 3D print homes for as little as $3,500 in El Salvador.

One prominent software corporation, known as Autodesk, has recently come up with plans for a portable shipping container design that will include robots and 3D printing systems. The shipping container is designed to be an additive manufacturing toolbox to be used in the construction industry.

They hope that this toolbox will be the key to assisting construction companies with keeping up with rising housing demands. They are expected to start sending out these toolbox containers throughout Europe this winter.

From the Netherlands to India, the U.S., El Salvador, and elsewhere, many entrepreneurs are looking to explore the potential of 3D printing technology to improve our lives in different ways.

Whether it's printing food, clothing, household items, or the entire home itself, it will be exciting to see how 3D printing transforms our standard of living in the years to come.

The 3D printing market has already progressed significantly and become more accessible in recent years. It has now grown into a multi-billion dollar market and yet there is still much more room for growth as more industries start to incorporate this technology into their everyday business routine; experimenting to see how they too might be able to benefit from utilizing 3D printing technology.
