The NeoStead 2000 (NS2000) Shotgun is a pump-action shotgun developed in the early 1990s by Truvelo Armoury of South Africa. It uses an unusual layout with twin tube magazines located above the barrel, which is enclosed by the forend, and features a forward-back pump action rather than the usual back-forward pump action. Due to this layout, it is not unknown for people to believe it is some kind of pump-action double-barrel shotgun.

It is weighing just over 3 kg, designed primarily for security and civil disturbance situations.

The firearm includes a 570-millimetre barrel despite the overall weapon length of just 690 millimetres (27 in). The short length makes the weapon easier to use in close-quarters situations; however, unlike most firearms of this type, it can still remain accurate at nearly long ranges. The long barrel length is achieved by using a bullpup configuration, with a rear-fed tubular magazine.

Another aspect of the weapon is its dual six-round magazines. The selector switch can be set to alternating left or right. In riot conditions, for example, less deadly flexible plastic baton rounds (PBR) can be fired with standard rounds in reserve.

A possible production variant of the NeoStead has a 460-millimetre barrel in a weapon with an overall length of 560 mm (22 in). The shorter length reduces the dual magazine capacity to 5 rounds and makes the weapon pass import restrictions or license in some countries.

The NeoStead has been available for civilian purchase since 2003, with the majority of sales in Europe. It has been in production in South Africa and has enjoyed steady adoption by special operations units around the world. While it has been exported to South America and Europe, it is currently not approved to bring into the US for sale since, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), it has "no sporting purpose".

if I am not mistaken obe of my friend from Australia have this. He showed it to me but because it is illegal for them to own one. I don't know he got one.

wow amazing gun indeed, i like to use shortgun's especially in games because it is very useful in close quarter combats and honestly i don't know about this gun before but after reading you post i gained good knowledge about this gun and i think the design of the gun is nice, thanks for sharing your knowledge regarding guns with us friend, Stay blessed

Yes, shotguns are a blast in close quarter combat.

Nice gun but I would rather not have one. This things can push one to use them even when not necessary especially those without self control.

Very cool Gun Darth. Love the interesting posts you do. Now if you can find a video of someone shooting a chicken, then deep frying it! That's like $100 post! for sure! lol Keep up the great work brother!

That sounds primitive and cool at the same time! The problem is I lack the mobility and the weapon to do it.

Thats a strong looking shotgun. The NeoStead 2000 (NS2000) is a bullpup combat shotgun developed by Truvelo Armoury of South Africa.[1]

Production of the shotgun began in 2001 and the first models were made available in October of that year. It is notable due to its unusual forward pump action.
The NS2000 is a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun weighing just over 3 kg, designed primarily for security and civil disturbance situations.

The firearm includes a 570-millimetre barrel despite the overall weapon length of just 690 millimetres (27 in). The short length makes the weapon easier to handle in close-quarters situations; however, unlike most firearms of this type, it can still remain accurate at relatively long ranges. The long barrel length is achieved by using a bullpup configuration, with a rear-fed tubular magazine.

Another aspect of the NS2000 is its dual six-round magazines. The selector switch can be set to left, right, or alternating. In riot conditions, for example, less-lethal flexible baton rounds can be used with standard rounds in reserve.

A possible production variant of the NS2000 has a 460-millimetre barrel in a weapon with an overall length of 560 mm (22 in). The shorter length reduces the magazine capacity to 5+5 rounds and makes the weapon easier to import or licence in some countries.

Its pump mechanism operates in a forward-back motion due to its moving-barrel mechanism, instead of the traditional moving-action. This method of operation is quite rare.
