Next I will talk about wireless networks, I want to share with you my knowledge on this subject, since it is one of the issues with which I develop day by day in my field of work.
One of the most important technologies at the moment is to be able to communicate computing devices such as cell phones, computers, tablets, to share data and information through electromagnetic waves, which allow them to link them together, without the need to install a wiring, which makes it more comfortable when working on infrastructure, this technology is called Wireless network.

Types of Wireless Networks

1.- Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN):
This type of network is more personalized coverage, an example of it is wireless technology Bluetooth which has the function of connecting devices to each other, such as cell phones and short-range computers that have integrated the transmitter or failing Bluetooth adapter.

2.- Wireless Local Area Network(WLAN):

3.- Wireless Metropolitan Area Network (WMAN):
In this type of metropolitan area networks there are technologies based on "WiMAX" which can reach an approximate speed of 70 Mbps in a radius of several kilometers.

Advantages of Wireless Networks
- Mobility.
- Save money on infrastructure.
- Facility of Installation.
- Installation speed since it is simpler, there is no need to install cables through walls and ceilings.
- Easy configuration for the user and its use.
- Accessibility, since currently there are many portable and cell phones that come with Wi-Fi technology, necessary to connect with a wireless LAN.
Disadvantages of Wireless Networks.
- They suffer signal and interference losses depending on the environment.
- The connection speed is slower than a wired network.
- They do not have much security.
- Wired or wired networks reach a speed of 100 Mbps, while wireless networks reach a maximum of 54 Mbps.
