Elon Musk aims to link human brains with computers

SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk is backing a brain-computer interface venture called Neuralink, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The company , is still in the earliest stages of existence and is centered on creating devices that can be implanted in the human brain, with the eventual purpose of helping human beings merge with software and keep pace with advancements in artificial intelligence by creating micron-sized devices.
These enhancements could improve memory or allow for more direct interfacing with computing devices. They also have the potential to help people with brain injuries. It is worthwhile watching how this technology is developed over the coming decade. I still don't like the idea of getting small micron sized devices inserted into my brain.
Facebook has also revealed plans to build a noninvasive sensor capable of letting people type 100 words-per-minute using only brain waves. Facebook executives have said that communicating directly with the brain will be needed for a future in which augmented reality glasses display virtual objects onto the real world.
He's a smart guy.. but he is a bit out there!
