An expressive survey, measurement and analysis of aircraft noise pollution assessment at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport Ikeja, Lagos State Nigeria has been performed. This study examines aviation noise impacts on buildings and occupants around airports: recorded landings and take-offs noise level at different location such as runways and nearby buildings within and around airports. The data collected were analyzed to determine the maximum noise level on the runways and nearby buildings. The results gotten was then compare with the acceptable noise level according to World Health organization (WHO). The study looked at the effect of noise on occupants around airports and noise control measures adopted by the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) together with building occupants.

Data collection was done through Physical noise level measurements of the airport achieved through the use of a digital sound level meter.

Additionally, data collection was also done through structured questionnaire to building occupants around airport and Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria officers. A total of 60 questionnaires were administered, at the time of assembling this report; a total of 43 usable responses were retrieved constituting (71.67%) while 17% was not retrieved which indicated 28.33%. Thus, 71.67% of the questionnaire administered was retrieved and valid for this research. Using frequency, and mean score on the data collected, the findings from the distributed questionnaire indicates building occupants were exposed to aviation noise which have resulted in
